Members of Milan’s Sri Lankan community recently took news europe war part in an intercultural event at the Church of Scientology, centred on peaceful coexistence, youth participation and common values. The meeting highlighted an intercultural values event in Milan, using the common-sense moral code written by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard as a basis for discussion.
Participants discussed how simple principles such as trustworthiness, care for others and respect for different beliefs can support harmony in a multicultural city. A particular focus was placed on younger generations, with Sri Lankan community leaders encouraging youth participation so that young people could become familiar with ethical principles that may guide future choices.
According to Ivan Arjona, the Church of Scientology’s representative to European and international institutions, events of this kind reflect the importance of civic cooperation and mutual respect. The Church of Scientology and its volunteers support social betterment initiatives across Europe, including education, prevention and community programmes inspired by L. Ron Hubbard.
